On June 1, 2005, through Resolution No. 41, s, 2005, the Board of Regents of Isabela State University approved the offering of the Bachelor of Science in Criminology Program and granted Certificate of Program Compliance with COPC No. 017, s, 2014 to Isabela State University Angadanan Campus to continuously operate Bachelor of Science in Criminology on August 4, 2014, at CHEDRO 2, Tuguegarao City, Province of Cagayan, Philippines, in accordance with pertinent provisions of Republic Act No. 7722, otherwise known as the “Higher Education Act of 1994” and CHED Memorandum Order No. 21 series of 2005, the “Policies, Standards and Guidelines for Bachelor of Science in Criminology”.
The field of criminology is the study of crime and the various agencies of justice as they operate and react to crime, criminals, and victims. It is therefore the mission of the Criminology program to provide the community with professionally competent and morally upright graduates who can deliver efficient and effective services in crime prevention, crime detection and investigation, law enforcement, public safety, custody and rehabilitation of offenders, and criminological research, among others.
The Program is highly committed to its endeavors to produce highly competent graduates and continuously engage in producing board passers in Criminologists Licensure Examination (CLE) and surpassed the National Passing Percentage, as evident this recently concluded CLE on April 2023 with institutional passing percentage of 84.71% for the first time-takers against the national passing rate of 31.84%, through exploring and exhaustion of different resources including the utmost effort of the program this continuously uphold the said endeavors. Consequently, The Program has been officially awarded Level II Re-Accredited by the Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines (AACCUP, Inc.) on November 1, 2020, and given up to October 31, 2024 for Level III Accreditation.

GOALS OF THE COLLEGE
In line with the Isabela State University’s vision and mission, the CCJE is tasked to:
- Encourage research and inquiry on the nature, causes, treatment, or punishment of criminal behavior and how criminal justice agency’s function and respond to crime, criminals, and victims.
- Prepare the students for careers in crime prevention law enforcement scientific crime detection, correctional administration public safety and allied fields.
- Foster the values of leadership, integrity, accountability and responsibility while serving their fellowmen, community and country.

The graduates of the Bachelor of Science in Criminology
Program must be able to:
- Articulate and discuss the latest developments in the specific field of practice.
- Effectively communicate orally and in writing using both English and Filipino.
- Work effectively and independently in multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural teams.
- Act in recognition of professional, social and ethical responsibility.
- Preserve and promote “Filipino historical and cultural heritage.”
- Conduct criminological research on crimes, crime causation, victims, and offenders to include deviant behavior.
- Internalize the concepts of human rights and victim welfare.
- Demonstrate competence and broad understanding in law enforcement administration, public safety and criminal justice.
- Utilize criminalistics or forensic science in the investigation and detection of crime.
- Apply the principles and jurisprudence of criminal law, evidence and criminal procedure.
