Three faculty researchers from Isabela State University-Angadanan Campus, Prof. Dr. Romel B. Cristobal, Prof. Dr. Warlito D. Antonio, and Prof. Dr. Oscar G. Bangayan, represented the University at the 3rd International Conference on Climate Change Adaptation and Disaster Risk Reduction Management (3ICCA-DRRM). The conference was held from August 27 to 31, 2025, in Binh Duong Province, Vietnam and focused on the theme “ASEAN Climate Action: Collaborative Strategies for a Sustainable Future.”
Their participation highlighted ISU’s commitment to addressing global challenges, particularly in advancing SDG 13- Climate Action and fostering international collaborations (SDG 17- Partnerships for the Goals).

At the conference, the faculty researchers presented a series of innovative, technology-focused research projects aimed at climate resilience and clean energy (SDG 7). Prof. Dr. Romel B. Cristobal presented “Mobile Solar Generator: A Disaster-Resilient Power Source,” a project designed to provide reliable, off-grid energy during emergencies. Prof. Dr. Warlito D. Antonio shared “Development of Upgradable Hybrid-Powered Irrigation System for Climate Change Adaptation and Mitigation,” which supports sustainable agriculture while addressing the impacts of climate variability. Prof. Dr. Oscar G. Bangayan presented “Solar-Powered Automobile Air Conditioning System,” a practical innovation that promotes energy efficiency and reduces reliance on fossil fuels.
These studies exemplified ISU-AC’s commitment to producing high-quality research outputs that offer practical solutions to pressing environmental and energy challenges as well as its dedication to excellence in education and research.
