As the holiday season wraps us in the warm embrace of joy and goodwill, Isabela State University Angadanan Campus embraces the spirit of love and sharing by extending in-kind gifts to Barangay Centro-3 for their year-end activities on December 23, 2023, at the Centro-3 Community Center.

ISU-AC, through the Office of Extension Program and Training Services, demonstrated its commitment to eradicating hunger and ensuring food security, aligning with SDG 2 – Zero Hunger, by sharing packs of goods for the event.

The highlight of the event encompassed several momentous activities, including the Oath-Taking ceremony of the newly elected Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) officials, marking the beginning of a new chapter in local governance, with leaders pledging to serve and uplift the welfare of their constituents.

Additionally, the event featured the Induction of Purok Offices, recognizing the importance of grassroots organizations in driving positive change within the community, strengthening the foundation for inclusive development, and allowing residents to actively participate in shaping their future.

Adding a touch of festivity and humor to the occasion, the event also hosted the “Search for Mr. Baran-GAY Tanod” contest. This lighthearted competition not only brought smiles to the faces of the attendees but also served as a platform to celebrate diversity and promote acceptance within the community.

As we celebrate this season of giving, this simple act of kindness and generosity not only becomes a testament to the transformative power of education and community collaboration but also exemplifies the true spirit of the holidays, inspiring hope and creating a brighter future for Barangay Centro-3.
