Isabela State University Angadanan Campus conducted a Pre-Departure Orientation Seminar for student interns, held on September 27, 2023, at the Campus Multi-purpose Hall.

The Pre-departure Orientation Seminar aimed to empower student interns with the necessary knowledge, skills, and a strong support network as they embark on their internship journey in their respective fields of expertise.

Prof. Dr. Warlito D. Antonio, Campus Academic Affairs Director, welcomed the attendees during the event while Prof. Dr. Oscar G. Bangayan, Campus Administrator, delivered an inspirational address to boost the motivation of the interns.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ronie G. Torres, Director of the Polytechnic School, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Grace D. Ladia, Dean of the College of Education, also shared their messages of guidance and encouragement.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Joemarie V. Jovellar, Bachelor of Science in Industrial Technology Program Chair and OJT Coordinator, Asst. Prof. Eugelyn R. Felix, FS/PT/ OJT Coordinator, and Mrs. Robielyn Bartido, Acting Dean of the College of Criminal Justice Education introduced the supervising instructors and host training agencies of the interns for PS, CEd, and CCJE, respectively.

Prof. Dr. Antonio presented the guidelines for the OJT/Student Internship Program in the Philippines (SIPP), followed by a talk on Occupational Safety and Health Protocol from Mr. Giovanni R. Vea, the Head of Campus Health Services.

Mrs. Bartido addressed the critical issue of sexual harassment, emphasizing the importance of a safe and respectful work environment during her presentation while Ms. Kesiah C. Soriano, a COS Psychology Instructor from the College of Education, provided valuable insights into personality development, a crucial aspect of personal and professional growth.

Asst. Prof. Felix delivered the closing remarks, summarizing the day’s discussions whilst encouraging the interns to make the most of their internship opportunities.
