ISUans took center stage as the campus gymnasium came alive on January 23, 2024, as first and second-year students gathered the first-ever Physical Education Culminating Activity of Isabela State University Angadanan Campus.

The gymnasium transformed into a hub of enthusiasm as students showcased their prowess in dancing and arnis, further exemplifying the aspirations of Sustainable Development Goal No. 3 – Good Health and Well-Being. The competition encouraged students to actively engage in various physical activities, contributing to the pursuit of a healthier lifestyle.

The first-year students (PE 1) eagerly competed in an exhilarating Aerobic Dance Competition, while their 2nd-year counterparts (PE 3) engaged in the Arnis Likha-Anyo Competition. The event, organized by the dedicated ISU-AC PE instructors, aimed to spotlight the talents and abilities of students across various colleges and programs.

“The said activity was organized by the PE Instructors and was conducted to showcase the talents and skills in the different activities among PE 1 and PE 3 students in all colleges and programs except CCJE. This activity also promotes the SDG No. 3 Good Health and Well Being of our students through their participation in the different Physical Activities. Because we believe that being physically active is essential for our wellbeing,” Mrs. Angelica Returco, a PE Instructor, shared.

PE Instructors Ms. Kristel Ann Chloe Delmendo and Mr. Eduardo Rivera further explained that the activity aims to foster a sense of camaraderie among students and further acknowledge the importance of physical fitness in maintaining a healthy and balanced life.

As participants poured their energy into the competitions, the atmosphere echoed with cheers and applause, creating a memorable experience for all present.

The Physical Education Culminating Activity served as a platform for students to celebrate their dedication to a healthy lifestyle, aligning with the global commitment to ensure good health and well-being for all. Through this initiative, ISU-AC continues to champion the cause of holistic education, recognizing that physical well-being is a cornerstone for academic success and personal fulfillment.
