In a harmonious blend of creativity and scientific spirit, Isabela State University – Angadanan Campus students clinched Third Place during the Science and Technology Jingle Contest, a captivating segment of the 2023 Regional Science and Technology and Innovation Week (RSTIW) hosted by the Department of Science and Technology Region 2 which took place on November 16, 2023, at Robinsons Tuguegarao, Tuguegarao City , Cagayan.

This achievement was made through the collaborative effort of the students – Ms. Melanie Marquez, Ms. Marjorie Mateo, Ms. Rowena Miguel, Ms. Mabel Malana, Ms. Jezza Mae Tambuan, Ms. Rodalyn Apellido, Ms. Janell Galutera, Ms. Joy Tuquib, Ms. Yrrehgz Calbone, Ms. Angeline Semodio, Ms. Jessa Dimalanta, Ms. Carolina Galang and Mr. Tirso Tamani, guided by their dedicated coaches—Assoc. Prof. Dr. Editha C. Bautista, Asst. Prof. Jefferson C. Pascual, and Mr. Paulino V. Derilo.

The winning jingle, written and composed by the talented ISUAns, showcased their commitment to SDG 4 – Quality Education by creatively imparting scientific knowledge through music. The lyrics, backed by a live performance featuring drums and an electric guitar, not only entertained the audience but also conveyed the importance of education in fostering innovation and development (SDG 9). ISU-AC’s partnership with DOST Region 2, also reflects the essence of SDG 17, emphasizing the significance of partnerships and collaboration in achieving common goals.
