In celebration of International Womenโ€™s Day, the Municipality of Angadanan, in partnership with Isabela State University-Angadanan Campus (ISU-AC), kicked off its month-long Womenโ€™s Month festivities on the morning of March 8, 2023, at the Angadanan Municipal Hall. Led by the Local Government Unit (LGU) and supported by ISU-AC, RHU Angadanan, and various local agencies, the event aimed to recognize the contributions of women and promote gender equality, aligning with Sustainable Development Goal 5: Gender Equality.

Joelle Mathea Panganiban.

The celebration began with a motorcade involving various community members, followed by a lively Zumba session, emphasizing the strength of the collaboration between ISU-AC and the LGU, reflecting Sustainable Development Goal 17: Partnerships for the Goals.

โ€œAko po ay personal na nagpapasalamat sa tuluy-tuloy na pagsuporta sa ating Womenโ€™s Month celebration!โ€ Mayor Panganiban said.

In the weeks that followed, a Womenโ€™s Caravan was held, which aimed to bring services to different communities. A Womenโ€™s Month Culminating Activity was also conducted in honor of womenโ€™s contributions within the municipality.

The collaboration between ISU-AC and the LGU of Angadanan emphasized the importance of partnerships in achieving social progress. It is a significant leap toward a more inclusive and supportive community, committed to advancing womenโ€™s rights and opportunities for all.
