For supporting the implementation of the Anti-Illegal Drug Campaign Advocacy of the Municipal Anti-Drug Abuse Council through the JMSP (Joint our Mission to Sustain Drug Cleared and Peaceful Angadanan) project, Isabela State University was given a plaque of commendation during the 2022 Anti-Drug Abuse Council Performance Award on November 24, 2022.
The event was attended by Kabataan Kontra Droga at Terorismo (KKDAT) officials, Sangguniang Kabataan chairpersons, and Barangay Captains including representatives from various religious groups, Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency, Philippine National Police and 205th Maneuver Company.
ISU Angadanan Campus Administrator, Dr. Oscar G. Bangayan, received the award on behalf of the campus.
A couple of ISUan KKDAT officials have also received Plaques of Commendation during the event.
Ariel Jay Rumbaoa the former SSC President and a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology student received Plaques of Commendation as Outstanding KKDAT and Best KKDAT Implementer. Samuel Bayucan and Rogie Valencia from the Bachelor of Science in Industrial Technology – Food Service Management have also received Plaques of Commendation as Outstanding KKDAT including Cristobal Lacar and Jerilyn Gaspar from the College of Criminal Justice Education, while Jerome Cabacungan from CCJE was also given recognition as Best KKDAT Implementer.
“On behalf of the ISU-AC family, I wish to thank LGU Angadanan for the awards that they have bestowed on the institution and to the ISUan KKDAT officials. We’re happy that we were able to support the municipality in its campaign against illegal drugs. We promise to continue our commitment to support PNP, PDEA Provincial Office, and other municipality projects for the welfare of our students and the community.” said Dr. Bangayan.
